Hibernate option is not available in Windows Vista

8. March 2011

Hibernate is not available in VISTA ? Use command prompt......

You can get it easly, just type "powercfg /hibernate on" in Command Prompt and get back :)
if you want to check that your system supports hibernate or not type "powercfg /a" in command prompt. you will get output like this:

{The following sleep states are available on this system: Standby ( S1 S3 ) Hibernate Hybrid Sleep
The following sleep states are not available on this system: Standby (S2)
The system firmware does not support this standby state.}

The sleep states that are listed as available and as not available vary, depending on the computer's hardware.

Good Luck
