How to get Call Center Licence in Pakistan.

To get licence from PSEB, you need to register your company & then register you company as call center.

WHY REGISTER with PSEB ?
Over time, PSEB's role has evolved from simply being a regulatory body to becoming a proactive enabler. To stay one step ahead of the changes taking place in the global IT industry, PSEB is constantly expanding and improving the range of services it extends to software and service companies in Pakistan.
PSEB is helping to pave the way for Pakistani IT, and IT-enabled Service (ITeS) companies to claim a larger share of the international software and services market.

COMPANIES REGISTRATION

All Software and service companies (like call centers) operating in Pakistan must be registered with PSEB in order to benefit from its offered services:

you need to follow these simple 3 steps

  1. Please download the Company Registration Form given below
  2. Attach the required documentation
  3. Please post the completed form at the address given below, along with an annual registration fee of Rs. 5,000/-(Rupees five thousand only). by demand draft/pay order made payable to the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB)

List of Documents Required for Company Registration
For Private Limited Companies

  • Duly filled registration form
  • Visiting Cards of Key Personals(Optional)
  • Memorandum and Articles of Association (SECP certified copy)
  • Certificate of Incorporation (SECP certified copy)
  • NTN Certificate of the company
  • CNIC of all Directors/Shareholders
  • Copy of Passport (for Directors with foreign nationality)
For Branch Office of Foreign Companies
  • Duly filled registration form
  • Visiting Cards of Key Personals(Optional)
  • Memorandum and Articles of Association (SECP certified copy)
  • Certificate of Incorporation (SECP certified copy)
  • NTN Certificate of the company
  • CNIC of all Directors/Shareholders
  • Copy of Passport (for Directors/Shareholders with foreign nationality)
For Registered Firms
  • Duly filled registration form
  • Visiting Cards of Key Personals(Optional).
  • Attested copy of the Partnership Deed.(In case of Partnership firm).
  • Certificate of Registration (Registrar Office certified copy).
  • Bank Statement of the preceding six months or Bank Account Certificate(Only company account with company name would be accepted. In case of new account, Bank Certificate is also acceptable) 
  • NTN Certificate of the firm
  • Copy of CNIC of Director(s) / Owner(s) / Partner (s)
  • Copy of Passport (for Director(s) / Owner(s) / Partner (s) with foreign nationality)
For Partnership Firms
  • Duly filled registration form
  • Visiting Cards of Key Personals(Optional)
  • Attested copy of the Partnership Deed.
  • Bank Statement of the preceding six months or Bank Account Certificate (Only company account with company name would be accepted. In case of new account, Bank Certificate is also acceptable)
  • NTN Certificate of the firm
  • Copy of CNIC of all Partners
  • Copy of Passport (for Partners with foreign nationality)
For Sole Proprietorship Firms
  • Duly filled registration form
  • Visiting Cards of Key Personals(Optional)
  • Bank Statement of the preceding six months or Bank Account Certificate (Only company account with company name would be accepted. In case of new account, Bank Certificate is also acceptable)
  • NTN Certificate of the firm
  • Copy of CNIC of the Proprietor

CALL CENTERS' REGISTRATION

  • It is a pre-requisite condition that the companies that have established call center operations must first register themselves with PSEB, and simultaneously post the Call Center Registration Form as well. The registration fee for new call centers is also Rs. 5,000/- (Rupees five thousand only) 
  • Registration with PSEB is mandatory for companies intend to established call center operations and wish to avail PTCL's services.
  • Before formal operationalization, provisional call center registration will initially be granted by PSEB. It will be valid for 60 days, and can be extended upon formal written request.
  • A physical verification visit of operational call center would be planned on request and after successful verification; a registration certificate with the validity of one year is issued.  The verification procedure is repeated at the time of renewal of call center but the duration of validity of registration is assigned for two years. The renewal fee is Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only)

  • Please note that call centers having valid PSEB membership would be renewed only.

  • Duly filled registration form for Call Center along with new registration fee of Rs. 5,000/- (Rupees five thousand only) by demand draft/pay order made payable to the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB)

 

List of Documents Required for Renewal of Call Center Registration

  • Duly filled registration renewal form for Call Centers.
  • Copy of certificate of registration with SBP as an IT/ITeS exporter (For International Call Centers only).
  • Copies of Form ‘R’ for the preceding year(s).

Asterisk IP-PBX Platform initial testing plan

Asterisk Installed and configured, now how to test your asterisk ?

This is best way to test your asterisk. perform these tasks one by one.

  1.     Test an Outbound call to a Local Number. Check for Ringback, 2-way Audio, and Quality.
  2.     Test an Outbound call to a Long Distance Number. Check for Ringback, 2-way Audio, and Quality.
  3.     Test an Outbound call to an International Number. Check for Ringback, 2-way Audio, and Quality.
  4.     Test a Long Outbound call past 15 minutes.
  5.     Test multiple call concurrences on Outbound calls. Setup multiple calls to PSTN
  6.     Test an Outbound Call to Operator "0".
  7.     Test an Outbound Call to Directory Assistance "411".
  8.     Test a 911 Call (PLEASE IDENTIFY TO THE OPERATOR THAT THIS IS A TEST!!!!!)
  9.     Test an Inbound call to an internal DID. Check for Ringback, 2-way Audio, and Quality.
  10.     Test an Inbound call to Auto-Attendant. Check DTMF and Audio Quality.
  11.     Test Transferring calls off-site.
  12.     Test an Outbound call to an Auto-Attendant and verify DTMF.

Trixbox backup over FTP site

Trixbox Backup is not enough if the system crashes and the backup is located on the local hard drive!  So, let's set up a script to move the backup to an FTP server after it has been created.I got this method from following link, really good written and fully functional:

How to get Trixbox Call Recording

In Trix Box you can record calls, to monitor them.

Record Incoming

Option to record the calls received on this extension. There are three options:

  • Always
  • Never
  • On-Demand (User can dial '*1' to enable whilst in a call)

Record Outgoing

Same as above but for outgoing calls

now if you are recording call then how to get them... ?

you can access them using ftp client (click here to to check how to use FTP Client software to access trixbox) from following path:

"/var/spool/asterisk/monitor"

Step by Step Guide to access Trixbox through Secure FTP

To access your trixbox Asterisk server through FTP Client is Very easy and secure way, you can access it with following step by step procedure:

I will use cuteFTP to perform these steps.

·         Open CuteFTP

·         Click File, Point to New & SFTP (SSH2) Site.

·         In Name type your server Name. (in My Case ast.beyondweblogs.com)

·         Host Address: type your server name of IP address (ast.beyondweblogs.com)

·         Username: type your username default is root.

·         Password: type your password here (in my case ********* :))

·         Click Connect.

You will be in Root folder now by clicking UP button you can go to etc, var & other areas of TrixBox.

DTMF (touch Tone) issue : not able to enter valid pin code with Asterik on VOIP

DTMF issue while dial in/out pin code and some time extensions, this is very common issue and you can solve it easly.

It's not asterisk problem. It's your provider....
And the dtmf mode as if you are using dtfmmode=inband and the provider did something with their system and now all of a sudden it doesn't work.
try to use rfc2833 it is common mostly used by VoIP providers.

dtmfmode=rfc2833
canreinvite=yes

And if that doesn't work-

one more thing you can:

dtmfmode=auto (it works)

if still you are not able to go throught then who is your provider? check their portal or create trouble ticket there.

Linux web based configuration with WEBMIN

WebMin a great open source product, with which you can easly configure your server, you can deploy it on your server with following easy steps.

 

To fetch and install the 1.250 version, use the following commands:

[root@asterisk ~]# cd /root

[root@asterisk ~]# mkdir webmin

[root@asterisk ~]# cd webmin
